Small cars can be roomy, like a Volkswagen Cabrio, and small cars can be completely cramped, like the Kia Rio Cinquo. It all matters how intelligently designed the interior is. My Mitsubishi Mirage coupe was a tiny little vehicle, only weight 2080lbs, but I thought it had a lot of room in it. But then, I've sat in a Miata at a car show before, and I was shocked at the lack of room... I thought they were designed so that even large people could fit in them comfortably.
