No, that's no S8. That's a A8 W12. Essentially the 12 cyl version of the W8 Passat sold here. Unfortunately the W12 isn't available here. Now if you want real Audi performance check out the 450 HP twin turbo V8 RS6 (which is coming to the US): http://www.audiworld.com/news/02/rs6detail/ or the truly awsome RS4 Europe only (thoguh some crazy MoFo federalized 40 of the things and is selling them for $80K here in the US) http://www.audiworld.com/news/00/geneva/index_rs4.html

I think the best engine option for the A8 would be the 10cyl. TDI., but I am not sure if that engine is offered.

Well, the A8 does have an option for a twin-turbo 4.2L V8 that pumps out 326hp and 560ft/lb of torque... that's gotta count for something...

Touareg's V10 TDI: 4.9L 310hp 553ft/lbs... pretty close the A8's diesel, but not quite as powerful.
