The owner of this car probably figured that both Corvettes and boats are fiberglass, so it must be okay to go fishing with a 'Vette. It looks like it slid off the road and crashed through the vegetation in the dark part of the image.

Judging by the narrowness of the signal/fog lamps on the front, this looks like a later C4 to me. My father had a '96 with an LT4 and it looked like a red version of this (including the front end).
