6ks and Celebrities are getting incredibly rare here since the past 2 years.. Before that, you could get one in pretty good shape for 800$.. don't see many 80's/90's Cavalier Z24 either. Tempos/Topaz are all rusted out, 90's Swift/Sprint/Fireflys too.

In the spirit of Subourbon187's project, here are some current photos of my car.
Front suspension all apart awaiting new steering rack

Are those rust bubbles forming under the rubber side trim? The red is a reflection from the jack stand.

Gah! Rust! I believe there's a chunk of weatherstripping blocking the drain hole. Last winter wasn't kind to it.

Roof is baked, surface rust starting :(

At least the interior is still half decent.

Poor car's been sitting like this for at least a month, no one has time to work on it.

Seems we all have our failures; this one is mine :(

Hopefully I'll finally be able to work on it this January after my winter trip with RRB.

Still in limbo. This is my final semester in college and I'm set to graduate in late May, so my tentative goal is to get it running and on the road in time for a Goodguys Street Challenge autocross event this year. That would be either the June car show (yeah, good luck) or November. I need to get a job after I graduate so I don't know what's going to happen after May. At this point I have nothing to go on but memories of three years ago and starting it up once every month or two, but I refuse to let this car go to Pick 'n Pull. Most of the parts are there and ready to go in (though we haven't decided what to do about paint or interior). I thought maybe it would be best to get the car put together and back on the road first so we can get it smogged and registered, and then worry about paint later.

I miss driving this poor thing. I feel like it symbolizes everything wrong in my life: all the components are there, no structural rust, just worn out and needing repair but nobody has the time and I lack the confidence to just pick up the Chilton manual, dig all the shit out from under it and wrench on it.

#28, I'm in the same position with my Granada, but in my case money is the issue. I've got $700 saved up so far, but no telling how much the rust repair would actually cost.
