I still can't believe how clean your car is for an 80's GM product.

I still can't believe someone has a still-working FWD '80s GM product.

Let alone a 6000, though, a surviving Celebrity in decent shape would be odder.

#2, It's actually in the garage right now, undergoing a steering rack replacement as well as much of the front suspension. But the engine still runs fine and hopefully we can get some paint on it before it rusts. It's gotten some water trapped in the doors and the paint's thin on the roof.

Saw an early 80s Skylark broken down the other night-in the middle of the road mind you.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen anything from this vintage for a very long time, in any shape, anywhere. The last one I can say for certain I saw was a grey Celebrity with NJ plates, but it was in the "waiting-for-a-reprieve-from-the-Governor" row of a garage, and probably dead.

Saw an 80s Ciera and Electra today :P

(of course they used to make Cieras here so there's quite a few around)

Saw an 89+ Century coupe today, tho which is quite the rarity

I haven't seen another STE since last year that I can recall. Last ones were a beat-up cream '85 abandoned in Oakland last October 68119 and a silver '87 in an impound yard last November, likely stolen from a dealer lot. 68207
My friend took a picture of a mint silver '85 with a replacement muffler and Oregon plates that he saw a few months ago at his local Costco, and RRB has posted a few STEs he's seen in his neck of the woods. They're incredibly hard to find here.

Can't remember the last time I saw a STE.

Then again, I don't see many 80s cars 'round these days in general

the other day I saw 4 (including a mid 80s Civic) on the highway while going to work-8 or so miles mind you

and that was considered a good day

My neighbor's had a mid 80s Celebrity for a loooong time, afaik it was always in pretty good shape, they sold it a long time ago...or they moved, I really didn't talk to those people.

I still take pictures of really clean 80s A-bodies and such when I see them, but I'm reluctant to post them here because most of you guys aren't interested and I don't want to spam the site with crap.

#14, Much appreciated... though, I wouldn't be averse to if, say, someone wanted to start their own personal, "my car photo thread"...

Always on the lookout to curtail the quantity of threads here, whilst trying to improve the quality of threads here :P

#11, Someone in town here has a dark blue STE that's really beat up. That's the only one I recall seeing, then again I probably just never noticed them prior to Wimbles joining the site.

There's also a later (composite headlights) 6000 LE up the road from me in the same dark blue shade, owned by a little old lady who keeps it immaculate.

Then, of course, there was the silver over maroon 1985 6000 LE that belonged to a friend's mother in high school. I actually drove that one once....one massive piece of shit. It was falling apart six years ago, it's probably not even around anymore.

#15, I think that is the pathway I shall walk with my new ride. Currently, roof graphics are in the works and photos will be appropriate

If I can find any pics of my grandma's old 6000 LE, I'll scan them and post them (in the appropriate thread of course)
