The NSX was its own design. It looks NOTHING like the C4. It looks like a C5. And it came first. It's been discussed SEVERAL times, elsewhere on this site. And you know what? You don't need to force your opinion up my ass either. Pop a midol. This is the fucking internet.

#121, The NSX looks a lot more like a C4 than a C5. Once again, where does the NSX resemble a C5? Compare the two:
NSX:
Straight lines
Mid engined, with short front and long rear
Square shape
Rear scoops
One taillight, all the way across
Hideaway headlights
Rear spoiler
Corvette:
Curvy lines
Front engined, with long nose and short rear
Rounded shape
Front scoops
Four round tailights on either side
Hideaway headlights
No rear spoiler.
This is the last I'll say in this argument, since you apparently can't get into a discussion without getting a goddamn bee in your bonnet. Sorry I spoke. |

#121 Okay so the Corvette ripped off the weak-ass NSX rather than IT'S OWN PREVIOUS MODEL. Makes sense to me. That means your lame-ass VR4 ripped off the Nissan 280Z, too, right? Same logic. And I suppose THE NEW MUSTANG RIPPED OFF MY FUCKING TEMPEST??! |

I'm not arguing the point anymore. I've wasted enough brain cells already. |

Oh, yes I'm sure even INSINUATING that the C5 took styling cues from the NSX is grounds for execution. Nobody's bitching but you. Now step the fuck off. |

Everybody's bitching, including me. As far as you're little Mitsu, don't start gettin' personal with shit like "you got your fucking head up your ass" and not expect people to take a few shots, dickhead. This was all a healthy debate between reasonable people until you decided to play Joe Asswipe. Somebody here definitely needs to grow the fuck up, but it ain't me.

Sorry, but I've got to get back in to say this: Ginsu, nobod is angry that you think the NSX looks like the C5. What everyone is pissed about is how you say it, don't tell us why and in what way it looks like the C5, and then cop a shit attitude when we try to pursue it further.
Tin, try to calm down, calling the VR4 "lame-ass" was a bit uncalled for. |

Sticking with the original thrust of the argument, certain parallels can be drawn between the NSX and the C5 Vette. They're both two-door sports cars with fairly tall tails, wedge-shaped bodies, and large greenhouses, hideaway headlamps, and so on. However, I think that's less because one was inspired by the styling cues of the other, and more because that's how we expect sports cars of their caliber to look these days. |

#129 Yeah, I know, but I can't stand people insultin' my intelligence. I've forgotten more about cars than this cat's ever learned. |

#130, True. Personally, I think the C5 looks more like a Mazda RX-7 than an NSX. |

#132, That I can sorta see. Seems to me that that general shape is just what sportscars in general have been evolving towards through the 80's and 90's. |

#131, Just try not to get personal. I've learned in debate to remain calm and present facts to the contrary, and if you know what you're talking about, you can prove the other person wrong without a problem. I think we can both a agree that Ginsu's VR4 is NOT a lame car, so try to stick with the topic, and look more toward arguing your point than insulting him. |
