"Nothing anyone says can change the way I think about him." - DiRF
"i'll walk away from this pic." - Obsidian
we have too many bush supporters, that should someone have a valid negative point about him, they refuse to listen because their minds are already made up in believing he's the perfect president. nothing against dirf and obsidian, i'm just using them as example. i'm saying this applies to a lot of people in general - on this site and in the country.
should everyone go democratic or 3rd party? no, but i think as a nation we should keep all of our options as well as our minds open, and be aware of what type of decisions are leaders are making and who is carrying them out.

I have to agree with you DiRF. I don't want to start another 500 post argument, it's unnecessary, but I think the bandwagon bashers need to learn the facts for themselves and what happened to the days when people honored and put their faith and support in the president no matter who he was? Whether you agree with him or not, he DOES have the country's welfare in mind and deserves respect. |

There is NO SUCH THING as "too many supporters" of our nation's leader. I had the same respect for Clinton at the beginning of his term, even though I didn't vote for him. That's where he took the actions to lose the respect, but I didn't judge him going in. Bush gained even MORE respect from me as his term goes on. |

I have never supported the idea that you should support the President whether you like him or not. A bad president can do bad things, no matter how much is behind him.
I don't dislike Bush because he's a Republican, nor do I blindly support him for the same reason. I dislike him because he's a goofball and a religous fanatic. Nonetheless, I'm sick as HELL of Democrats and Republicans alike. Everyone is too scared to vote for anything else. Fuck liberals and conservatives, they're both pathetic. |

it doesn't matter what a president does there are always going to be people that dislike them simply because they are the president |

#6, i didn't feel a post war (about a leader of a country that i don't live in or know about the political set-up of that country) was needed.
Also - being one of only 3 (i assume) canucks on a site with the majorty of users are yanks - i felt that if one wrong thing was said of a slip of the tonge occured - then all hell of automotive ammended political post wars would explode.
and i want nothing of that.
