at least... one more credit card payment and a new tranmission is on the way.
Performance Automotive 200-4R... good for 550hp. 2300 stall/shift kit/ etc. Way tooooo pricy as all overdrive trannys are. |

when I was a teenager - there were a lot of these cars tearing around... well as much as you can tear around with 180hp. But they are all disappearing around here in michigan. Nice looking mean looking cars. I've liked the look of 'em, didn't want to fool around with turbos and fi (hence no T-Type), so I bought this car. Sure - I wanted a 60s muscle car - but decided that this would be a good learning/starter project for me. We shall see. |

update on my project car -
1) new backseat reupholstered - interior is now mostly done...
2) in the middle of replacing old t-top weather stripping. Not a fun job at all. Consists of hacking out the old t-top material, using adhesive removal, and then trying to get the new stuff to fit. A very sticky black tarry job. Yay.
3) Bought and put in the rafters for now a new G-Force transmission crossmember. This is notched to allow true dual exhaust to hang closer to the car.
4) New GM high performace street fuel pump
5) got some used t-top interior trim to install after putting the new seals in...
6) still waiting for my new floormats with 'Monte Carlo SS' stitching.
7) Money is getting low, so may keep the rebuilt 305 in there for awhile longer - until 2004 that is... we shall see how the financial situation turns out.
