Well, really, in every high school class I had which assigned some book to read, it was awful. The teachers spent forever picking apart every sentence for symbolism that often was not there. Then, of course, they tested us on their interpretation of it. Just great.

#29...i hated the tale of two cities. im not sure how i passed the test because i only read the 1st chapter and the last chapter. oh wait....cliff notes...that right..

we had to do reports on movie versions of a book, forgot which one had but I passed with something that can be summed up as "this movie was so godawful boring I fell asleep"

A Tale of Two Cities was a great story with good characters....but Dickens did tend to be a bit long-winded.

those pillars are packed foam with firecrackers in the slots to make them look like bullet shots :)
