Apparently these things make about 1600hp and over 3000lb-ft of torque, from a 12L inline-6.

Caterpillar C12, 12-litre, six-cylinder engine featuring 4-valve head, twin Schwitzer S300 turbochargers, EUI fuel system. Specially prepared for racing but retaining standard production components.

POWER OUTPUT: Exceeding 1400 bhp and torque in excess of 4200 Nm. Power curve starts at 1500rpm and remains flat up to 2200rpm.

BOOST PRESSURE: 4 bar.

TRANSMISSION: ZF HP600, 5-speed automatic with manual sequential facility.

#11, I wonder how similar diesel engines are to gas engines regarding heads and headgaskets. Running that kind of pressure can't be good for the top half of the engine, either.
