QUESTION TO ALL: I am highly considiring getting more 302 for my car due to the fact that it may be cheaper or at least more worth it than rebuilding the engine I got. My question is; how much can I expect to pay for a 302? How much hp can I expect? mpg? Is it worth it / a good idea? etc....... Any information you all can give me is greatly appreciated and very helpful. Thanx in advance.

#24, you can get a new block for $200, new gt40 long blocks are about 3500, and you can get a used ones for 200-500 depending on what shape its in

#25, well my deal is, I'll have about $3000-4000 to spend on this, and I want to do the best I can with it. What can I expect? Where can I get a good complete 302 or maybe an SBC? I want a sleeper, and this is the best way I can think to do it.

They have supercharger kits for 302s too don't they? That might be a sweet add-on for later.
