Still, good luck with the Volvo project. Sounds like a cool sleeper, and I'm sure other people have done the 302 swap before (I think I've seen pictures) so it might not even be that hard.

Ok; Upon further research I have found that a 302 is not a very cost effective option. $5900 is not an amount I can make over the summer. Looks like the thing that will happen is a turbo motor from a similar car. People have gotten upwards of 400hp out of those. And it will be a lot cheaper. I think 20psi of boost will be sufficient to embarass some ricers. :-)

Looks like I may have found a buyer for my engine. He is even willing to come up all the way from LA to get it. How much do you guys think I should charge for it? Keep in mind, the guy actually WANTS the engine (for some unknown reason).
