#22, yeah it would, you put no more then a grand into a Fox-body's suspension and it will wax the Rx7s ass

#17, Oh, heck, if we're talking modified, the Kenny Brown V6 freakin' owned because of its level of suspension tuning. And it only had 245hp.

And as far as reliability goes, 5.0s are pretty well known for their ability to take more abuse expected.

if you put a grand in the rx7's suspension it will beat the 1grand worth of suspension in the fox body

#25, some how i dont think you will get as much out of a grand for the RX7 as you would the Stang, unless you lived in Japan

#29, So he meant RX. So what, the argument remains the same, the RX7 originally sold at a higher price and was originally marketed as an all-around sport car.

#23 you cant say that i am sure the mustang isnt made the same way as the rx7 and the rx7 was made for cornering and rich people who wanted a car that can run wit the v8's and handle amazingly and the mustang was made for going fast in a car everyone could afford

#30 agreed i was just stating that the rx7 was made for handling and that pic is an accurate depiction of those 2 cars if they were ever to race on a road course. On the other hand on the 1/4 mile stock for stock they will hang together if its the 5.0 litre but a mustang will go faster for way cheaper.

#31, For which they later designed the Cobra as a better handler. However, Fox-body mustangs (especially the 5.0 LX) are pretty light considering what they are--they often weigh under 3000 lb, which isn't bad for a car with a cast-iron block 302. As far as suspension tuning goes, there's a large enough aftermarket that you cold pretty much replace every suspension component on the car with something suitable. The Mustang does not handle well at all-STOCK. But considering the age of a Fox-body, the ubiquity of aftermarket parts, and their relative inexpensiveness, it still can be made to have some potential.

yah maybe for less then the base price of the rx7 since the rex is way more expensive but if you already own both cars then for the same money into suspension it is not even close the rx7 will win all the time.

#34, once you learn the car well enough it can hold its own as far as handling

#36, It's good enough, but you can definitely feel the live axle in hard corners.
