#44, Well, at least the Miata is right-wheel-drive.
That's about the only good thing you can say for it, though. |

I can't fit into a Miata comfortably. I've tried driving one. |

#51 Fiero? I owned one, and I'm 6'2". BTW, kid on a test drive ran one into a telephone pole on a test drive.... 17ft. UP the telephone pole, and lived to tell about it. And he hit on the driver's side. 5 star safety rating, just like Volvo. All the metal's under the skin. |

Hey everyone...figure this out for me. A late-80's RX-7 was parked beside of me when I came out from eating lunch, and it had a big note taped on the console by the shifter that said:
"REMEMBER:
1. Do not press gas pedal when starting.
2. Let car run for at least one minute before shutting off."
The car was really beat up, and that looked like a woman's handwriting (probably my explanation there)...but what the heck is wromg with the car? Why would you press the gas while starting anyways? |

#54, 1. Some older cars had a choke. Some of those were pedal operated.
2. If it was a turbo, it needs to cool down before shutting off. Shutting it right off cooks the oil and may shorten turbo life. But it could've been something else, too. |

I knew you had to let turbos cool off like that, but I highly doubt this car had one. If so, they spent more on the turbo than the car was worth.
I ALSO saw 3 Hondas parked within about 20 feet of each other that all had altezzas and "VTEC Inside" stickers. WHAT THE HECK?!?!? |

Just to add my rather late contribution to this: take one FD RX-7, add an adjustable front ant-roll bar, a set of adjustable coilovers, and some good R-compound tires, and you're good for both over 1.1g laterally and somewhere in the range of 76-78 mph in the slalom. |
