if memory searves you get a lp at 15, with that you can drive to and from work and school without a parent or such, anyplace else requires a parent or gaurdian |

#47, I'm sorry lp requires a parent or gaurdian, restricted liscence allows the back and forth, so it is possible that at 14 you can get a lp but it still doesn't warrent having one's own car |

#47, In my state, an LP is only valid w/ a lisenced driver in the car, you get stopped with a LP anywere doing anything without a lisenced driver with you, you're in trouble

Look rrb - Paxton DOES NOT MAKE a roots charger. The SC has an Eaton. The two look completely different and require a different setup. The roots charger is part of the intake.... or in actuality, is the intake. A centrifugal blower sits outside the intake and pushes air through it. They also function completely differently. If you have just a 3.8L thunderbird, that is fine - the SCs are fairly rare - don't try to BS us... we are some fairly experienced car freaks |

#54, That's what I've been joking about for a while. The SC had a totally different bottom end, and the heads and intake were specially designed to fit the Eaton M90 on top. To switch over to any centrifugal supercharger would not only be nearly impossible, but counterproductive, because the SC, at over 3600 lbs., really, really needs the low-end torque. |

#55, And the only way it could be done would probably involve putting regular 3.8 EFI heads and intake on an SC block, and that would just be pointless--the SC has more HP out of the box than a 3.8 EFI with a centrifugal blower could, and it has more torque. |

#55, I know... I'm just trying to pound it into rrb's head that we can rarely be faked out... |

If he'd said a Thunderbird with a 5 liter and a Paxton, that would be believable. But why the hell would you put a Paxton on a car that already has a superior forced-unduction system? |
