as an scca enthusiast myself, i believe the only logical thing to do here is to kill your friend, crush his car, and then pee on it.

that'll cover the required courses/track experience you need.
you also need X hours of local driving/competition if you want to do regional/national stuff.
also if you're ever in texas for a few years and want to form a team let me know.

#7, I don't know that I ever plan on going to Texas but I'll keep that in mind.
There is a Panoz school in Texas isn't there? as well as a Audi school?

#10, yes about 25 minutes from dallas.
#9 - you need to be a member to compete in scca events, and to be a member you usually have to have a license for the class you drive in. thats what i was told last time anyway by my local (north texas) chapter/region.
