#53, I'm not fan of any political leader. Anyway, I'm canadian, so can't vote in US.
#54, yes, there's business cycles, but strangely, here in Canada, we're not in recession, and it's probably the first time our economy doesn't follow US one.
If your economy isn't going well, it's because no one trust US anymore.

#58, It was pretty obvious that a major terrorist event would happen within a few years *topic of a 2000 termpaper of mine* and the WTC attacks had nothing to do with George W as president (which seems to have been implied by a couple of people)

#62, Excuse? This country has endured tremendous national tragedies (brought upon us by the INaction of the Clinton admin), 2 wars, and a normal downturn in the economy....
and guess what, the economy is on the way back up and we have Bush to thank for that. He brought us through an extremely tough period.

EVERYONE GO TO YOUR LIBRARY (or Amazon) and read a book called "Dereliction of Duty" by Buzz Patterson, a man who was by Clinton's side for a few years carrying the nuclear football. It's an eyewitness account of Clinton's negligence as a President...it details how he put our nation in the position it's in now. Because of his lack of concern and seriousness for his responsibilities, he forced his predecessor (Repub. OR Democrat) to take the actions that Bush found necessary.
GREAT BOOK, AND ACCURATE.

Dick Cheney was in the Girl Scouts until he was 34 years old. He sold cookies to Cuba and Russia througout the 80s and is the reason our economy WAS in a slump earlier in the year.

#67, Everyone complains that the tax cuts are for the rich, and only the poorest are excluded from the latest tax cut plan...however, why should we give tax cuts to those who DO NOT PAY TAXES. Low income people do not pay in large amounts of taxes, therefore a tax cut for them would be A GIFT! That would hurt the economy, yet that's the Democrats' "HELP THE POOR BY HANDING THEM MONEY RATHER THAN IMPROVING THEIR LIFE" view on the ecomony.

#76, Bullshit. If I see 300 dollars from this cut I will be lucky. I am not poor, but I am not rich either. I give appox 1/3 of My pay to the gvt. But the people who make 20Mil are getting about a 1-2Mil tax cut. What a crock of shit.
