#80, That's because the rich pay 50%+ of their income to taxes. They fund the country, they deserve the cuts first. Besides...if you want to help the economy, will giving someone needy who may not spend the money $300 rather than a rich person $1 million who will spend it and help spur the economy help more?
No...it's a fair plan.

hate to say it, but almost all the money that goes to the poor ends up helping them buy bear and cigs, not helping them get on the feet to where they wont need more help

That's because the Democrats give them so much freaking welfare and food stamps, to KEEP them unemployed. If people stay unemployed, they'll still have a place in Congress.

I'm sure I've qualified for goverment aide before but I've never tried to get it (with the exception of the grant I'm trying to get to take some courses) because I've seen the people at the grocery store who pay half food stamps half credit card

#81, 2/3 of any given economy is driven by average consumers. Making rich people richer will not do anything for the economy. That's why this "trickle-down" bullshit doesn't work.

#96, I work for a privately owned company. The more money the owner has in his pocket, the happier he is... the happier he is means less job cuts for the guys on the floor. So the trickle down theory does work in some cases eh?

Bin Landen / Saddam - CIA link. Yes it is true... we did support Bin Laden at one time because the Afghanistans were fighting the Soviets. We (at the time) chose the lesser of two evils. Remember, communism is bad shit, no matter how many people still rally around marxism. That's why we supported dictators and other evil SOBs throughout the 50s to the 80s - because as long as they were _not_ friends with the Soviets/Chinese that was a good thing.
this has turned around to bite us a bit - since in the case of Bin Laden, he was just using us for his own ends.

#96, On average, the richest 10% of Americans pay well over 75% of the tax bill every year. If you make under $40,000/year, your income group pays approx. 7-8% per annum. Do you still think the lower earners deserve more of a tax cut than the rich?
