Description:
I got someone to photoshop the hood and stripes that I want onto my car. The pic is a little old though; doesn't have my smoked headlights. What do you guys think? |

DAVE!!!! I was behind a Camaro tonight with those same altezzas you were talking about getting, and trust me, they look like the car has some typeof rash when they're lit up at night. I'd keep looking if I were you. |

#124, Ew. Ok thx. I actually wasn't going to get them though. I'd only like them if the reverse lights were in the middle like that one PS I put up. I've also been thinking about getting the 93-96 style taillights since they're all red and clear (no amber). |

#126, I like those tail lights.
Dave, I was looking over your page and noticed where you mentioned long-tube headers and that you may go with shorties. I'll go ahead and tell you, the long-tube headers hang pretty low (especially the SLP headers.) If you're worried about clearance, you may want to consider the shorties or get some mid-lengths. Personally, since mine is just a weekend car, I don't care. And you need to get an aftermarket intake lid -- it's easy horsepower. |

#129, Yeah since mine's a daily driver, I am a little worried about the ground clearance. I guess I'll go with the shorties then. Thx for the advice. Yeah I am going to get an aftermarket lid (probably the Whisper lid). I thought I put that on my future mods. Oops. I might possibly get the LS6 intake too. |

I'm using the Whisper lid and there are no fitment issues and haven't had any cracking. If you use the Whisper, you'll need to purchase a small aftermarket filter for the AIR pump (I ordered mine from TByrne and it came with the small K&N.) If you open your hood, take a look at the hose that connects to the back of the driver side baffle on the intake lid -- you'll notice the hose runs down under the driver side headlight. The small filter needs to connect to the end of that hose.
I plan on getting an LS6 intake for the '00 Z28 and getting rid of the EGR. No real HP gains from the updated intake manifold until you add a cam, but it cleans up the engine bay nicely. If you have to keep your EGR for annual smog testing, I'd probably hold off on the updated intake manifold unless you plan on going inside. |

#134, Cool thx! I'll keep those things in mind when I go to do them. Performance mods are kinda new to me. The only things I did on my last cars and this one are exhaust but once I get the appearance mods done on this car I'll be getting into the performance more, since I plan on keeping this car for a long time. |

#136, OMG I'm ahead on the performance-modding thing!
Oh, wait, that's because I'm 150hp behind from the outset.. |
