my friend Dan drives an '03 Hemi Quad Cab back n' forth to work... he gets about 10-12mpg in the city - I get better mileage with my carbed Vortec headed MCSS |

#43, it's not just about that...are you forgetting the usage of natural resources and air pollution?
i do think there should be some kind of regulations to control people commuting alone in mega suv's and such

#46, the fx45 doesn't get 10mpg, and i wouldn't commute in it if i had one, i would commute in an older se-r, or an older turbo impreza |

I guess I'm just an evil person then, when the stang was my daily driver it got about 11mpg off of 93 and had no cats, now I drive a boat that gets about 14mpg off of 93 |

#45, Since I don't commute alone, and drive trough 35 miles of trees to work, I don't worry about nature, why should I take my chances traveling at night in a small econo-box. At least this can get me there and back in about a foot of snow, and can even go up over the top of a moose and keep going with only dents and scratches(Nov '04), I know my little shadow couldn't do that. So basically, driving a truck up here is a safety thing, you hit a moose in one most likely you are going home, hit one in a car, your most likely going to the hospital. |
