If you are curious that fender HAS been fixed, there is NO uniwiper (thank god) and I plan to get graphics done like http://www.ricecop-photo.com/pics/fatf1eclipse.jpg but no body kits, engine mods, etc cuz a) i'm a cook/HS student therefore low $$$ b) the car is used, 122,000 mi, almost 10 yrs, and a ford. |

#68, I got news for you, paint will take more damage, plus when you peel the graphics off there is a chance that the paint will be faded around thus leaving an outline

OK, a guy with a low budget and a not so great car. Hm. Just like me. Let's say I wanted to invest in my car... First: I'd get some decent suspension. Bilstein shocks and H&R springs would do. Second: engine undertray. I like to do Forest Blasts from time to time and lower ride height=lower chances of oil pan surviving a Forest Blast. Third: brakes. I'm not a big fan of 3XtRm3 so I guess I'd go for brakes from Alfa 155, steel braided brake lines and Pagid or Mintex brake pads. As for the fun factor, I'd seriously consider decoupling the brake servo. Fourth: engine... *sigh* Maybe a Uno/Punto Turbo swap? 140HP. Or Coupe Turbo swap? Inline 5 with 220HP. Or maybe something from Alfa Romeo's garage? Like 2.5 V6? That turboed inline-5 sounds best, although 220HP on front wheels sound scary... Fifth: replacing of clutch, maybe Exedy. Six speed 'box from the Turbo Coupe would do. And a mild LSD. Sixth: interior... Torino seats from Recaro and a 350mm leather Momo wheel would do. |

#124, Continued:
Exterior... Well, I'd get painted bumpers, maybe do some mild black-outs front (rear black-outs are stock :P)... Some window tinting. 15% perhaps? Paintjob: I like the present color, but maybe I'd go for even darker red or black. Rims... Steelies are badass, but some gunmetal OMPs would fit nicely.
Of course, for that cash I could buy a much better car...

#125, That would be awesome. That you could buy a "better" car is besides the point, says the man with thousands invested in obsolete MK1 MR2s.... |

#126, Well no matter how you look at it, MR2 is a special car. Light, superb handling, even if slow. Fiat Tipo, however is just an econobox. One of the least "Italian" Italian cars (it has some flair due to it's good handling: I think it can easily take on any stock Fucus minus the ST and RS). If I had an Alfa Romeo 155 or a Fiat Coupe I'd invest ANY money in them. |
