Description:
94 Ford Probe SE w/ tinted windows, exhaust tip, wing.
If you are curious that fender HAS been fixed, there is NO uniwiper (thank god) and I plan to get graphics done like http://www.ricecop-photo.com/pics/fatf1eclipse.jpg but no body kits, engine mods, etc cuz a) i'm a cook/HS student therefore low $$$ b) the car is used, 122,000 mi, almost 10 yrs, and a ford. |

#18, Ricers have a different way of life from other car enthusiasts. Or at least the stereotypical ricer does. Don't tell me you're going to deny that. |

#19, go ahead enlighten me. my definition of "rice" is trying to pass any car, not just junkers or family cars off as performance cars, while the said car isn't close to performance. now i think there is a fine line between passing a car off as performance, and just making it look nice/impressive. what do u all consider when passing something off as rice? |

#21, the stero typical ricer, maybe. like i could understand people doing cheap stuff to make there cars look pretty because they cannot afford to make it performance, but just making it look nice to make it look nice is different. i guess the reasons behind doing the exterior mods |

#22, Okay then, here's your enlightenment:
"Rice" refers to what is often known as the "import style" (though it doesn't have to be, and quite often isn't, on imports). Any wing higher than 6 inches, any tip larger than 3 inches, excessive amounts of vinyl decals and stickers in the windows, clear or Altezza style taillights, and just about any bodykit is "rice".
Contrary to what some may say, rice really isn't a performance thing. I've seen fast cars that still look ricey as hell.
The ricer lifestyle is also known as the modern streetracing subculture. Picture some college-aged wigger with a slutty female groupie or two, a backwards turned visor, and really baggy pants cruising the strip listening to Limp Bizkit, and you have the perfect mental image of the ricer lifestyle. |

#30, Keywords here were "excessive" and "amounts".
Besides, I'm referring to gigantic banners in your side windows blocking your view, not small stickers in your quarter windows.

#27, "I've seen fast cars that still look ricey as hell."
That's because someof the things that aid a high speed car get slapped on stock civics and such |

Lets check those car stats of artik 7 -
I drive a 94 Ford Probe SE. I have done no mods to it (just fixed the fender u
see in the pic). The guy before me (i bought it used) tinted the side and back
windows, added the wing, exhaust tip, racing pedals, panasonic deck and
some brand name amp and subs. Not here to show it off, I got it for $900 so i
can't complain. I'm actually a big fan of what most of y'all call rice. I'll be
uploading stuff soon. E-mail or AIM me sometime if u wanna talk (my SN, in
case you haven't deduced it, is artik7)
"preformance pedals"? what kind of cheap worthless shit is that? |

#33, What I'm saying though, is that a Veilside bodykit on a 12 second Civic is no more or less rice than on a 15 second Civic. Rice is something you can identify from looking at a car. |

http://www.onlineshowoff.com/index....rname=monster33 this guy, a friend of mine, told me about rice when i was thinking of getting tire valve LEDs (which i still think LOOK cool). anyways, no i don't think that probe is rice, except the wiper. maybe just bad taste with the kit and headlight conversion.
so any body graphics is rice.... why? |

#38, "so any body graphics is rice"
Does your car need it to go fast or does your car need it to look like ass? |
