#80, Also, during "Casino" where two of the characters are having a discussion on a bus stop bench with traffic going by in front of them, After the scene ended, I asked if anyone else notice that the same copper-colored Camaro had gone aroudn the block 3 times? :)
I also noticed when a car that passed on the street later shows up tipped on it's side in the "post disaster" shots :) |

I can't tell you how many people have gotten mad at me when there's a foot chase, or somthing, a car chase maybe, and one of the people gets hit by a car, or the car plows into somthing else and everyone else is thinking "Gee, I hope the hero is okay" and I'm thinking "I hope he's dead, he just messed up a perfectly good 83' GMC High Sierra with that move" |

#82, Oh man...I'd better never show you the DVD I just got...
It has Deadline Auto Theft (H.B. Halicki's third movie in his "Gone in Sixty Seconds Trilogy", the other two being the original GISS and "The Junkman")
But it's also got what footage there is of "Gone in Sixty Seconds 2" (Halicki died while making the movie) Basically, almost the entire car chase was filmed before he died, so they pieced it together for the DVD, and added sound effects and music.
The chase is basically him in a semi-truck, plowing into, and destroying, hundreds upon hundreds of cars.... It was filmed in the mid-80s, and most of the cars were less than a few years old. He's also being chased by a WHOLE SHITLOAD of cops, with paint different paint schemes signifying a bunch of departments in California...he wrecks a whole bunch of the police cruisers, as you can imagine.

#82, i do the same exact thing...especially in the first fast n the furious movie when the charger got destroyed, my friends were like how did he survive? and all i could say is that the bastard should have died along with the writers who added that in. ;) |

Heh, I cringe in car chase movies when I see one of the cars take a Hills-of-San-Francisco dive and right before the jump cut, you can clearly see the car has suffered fatal frame/chassis damage as it's nose buckles under. |

#80, People always laugh at me because I can point out which cars will get totalled in the film and which ones will survive.
"Okay, all the cops in this are driving current Crown Victorias, but this one patrol car is a '92 model. I'll bet it gets wrecked or blown up."
*BOOM*
"Told ya." |

Generally I can also point out cliches to any cheap movie, and they will literally happen within minutes.
For example, in any cheap "post-apocolyptic or plague" movie, you are virtually guaranteed to see any of the following:
*Lots of motorcycles
*At least one dune buggy
*A guy with brightly colored hair who head-butts somebody
*Someone with big, football type shoulder pads
*A guy in a fur coat
*A domestic economy car (usually '70s vintage) modifed to look tough

#79, I can ID cars like that too. I was watching a movie with my dad on HBO, and in one scene a GTO was head on-ed by a Chrysler Town n Country. I let out a huge "NOOOOOO!!!!!!'. My stepmom, dad, and brother all looked at my like I was dumb. |

I just read over this whole thread, and it struck me as being quite funny for some reason. |

I've been seeing a Capri similar to this one around a lot over the last year, except it's bright orange and doesn't have hubcaps. The guy seriously seems to drive it everywhere all the time. |
