Screw fuel economy. I need more power, more handling, and maybe a little bit more traction. :-) |

It's a shame you're all against innovation and modern technology. Oh well... |

Ah yes, and hybrid sports cars are on the way. Imagine power and high mpg. That should be fun. Plus electric engines provide a lot of torque at 0 rpm, just like the Prius. |

#29, Hybrids are the near future. Most Toyotas will be hybrids by 2007, and both Nissan and Ford are developing hybrids right now. Other automakers will soon follow. It's a brilliant technology, and there are no drawbacks. |

#32, they still burn gas, so there is still a drawback. the real future is going to be fuel cells |

#9, "Oh yeah, and it just won the Motor Trend car of the year award."
Because they pay bribes to Motor Trend.
"It's one of the most aerodynamic cars on the road."
Bullshit, where did you here these lies? Whats the drag coefficient? |

#35, Apart from the fact that the batteries have to be scrapped every 8 years and one of those 202 volt batteries contains enough potassium hydroxide to literally turn a person into soap. Don't even ask what happens to that stuff in a severe accident.
My main problem with the hybrids, apart from what snake mentioned in #28 about the desire to turn automobiles into soulless appliances, is the weirdo cult that has sprung up around them. I wouldn't drive something like a Prius even once unless someone paid me a good amount of money to do it, just because I hate to be associated with environmentalists. |

TURNING them into soulless appliances? You mean...
*turns slowly toward the garage. Sees car staring back saying 'he knows, he must die by header heat!!'" |
