I've said it once, I'll say it again: I don't like any motorcycle you have to lay down on to ride.

#5, I disagree. As far as the overall shittyness scale goes, say from whatever supercar would be at the bottom and a metro or a kia at the top, Id say Hondas are somewhere near the lower-middle.

Ed: Ricers are a different thing altogether. Just about any ricer is pretty near the top.

#6, are you talking reliability shitty? or just overall shittyness? cause reliability with hondas isn't always true...they just get replaced before they have a chance to break down ;)

#7, That and all the Hondas that people refer to haven't been around long enough to talk about true reliability.

#9, Now I say, early 80s is a good base point to start talking about reliability. Most 80s cars sucked. Mine however is still running strong, and so are most other 80s Volvos. All the 80s Hondas I know of are dead or run like shit.

i will say this, when used as daily drivers and nothing more they seem to be damn good cars as far as not breaking down.

#10, yeah...my 83 camino still runs like new, and i know we've beat the hell out of it in many different ways. half of it slipped into a lake when my dad forgot to put the parking break on...but no problems except a little rust from that.

#11, True, but then most cars are. I think a truely "reliable" car should be able to take being flogged daily and still continue to take you where you want to go. That is a car you can really depend on.

#13, well my friend picked up an early 80s accord thats down a pistion and it still starts right up and could get you from point a to b if you so dared.

#14, ok fine, aparently I need to be more specific. Add to my last post that it has no major problems bigger than a snapped fan belt.

#15, true...but i still think that anything that breaks down or shows any indications of a major problem(reguardless of honda or not) after a little over 10 years of normal use should not be tagged as reliable...which is the common mistake of honda owners. The ones that have been around that long or more aren't all that great, the ones that haven't...who knows?

#17, Hence the reason that in Japan it is illegal to have more than 50000 miles on your engine. They are then pulled and sent out here and sold for cheap.

You guys do realize that the industry rates Hondas and Toyotas as the most reliable cars you can buy, right? I have no experience with the former, but I have had several 300,000+ mile Toyotas.
