we've had many toyotas with no problems put a lot of miles on them. my brother's 98 corolla had like 150,000 miles on it before he crashed it into that woman's car that pulled out in front of him wrecking it

Honda is recaling something like 500,000 cars, something about ignition switch wear that allows the key to be removed when the car isn't in park thus causing accidents as people apparently need something like the inability to remove a key to tell them they have succesfully placed their car in park.

#45, I love it when cars ignitions wear, talk about convenience! It helps to be able to take that key out after you've started the car.

#43, Mines not that new. Its a 1992.
#44, my grandad on my dads side has had Accords n Civics for years and hasnt had a problem yet. But thats kind of a different situation, he leases em for like a couple years or so, brand new, so that would explain the no-problems thing... So he doesnt count.

#34, Depends on the Honda. The S2000 is supposedly a complete piece of crap.

#50, Are you referring solely to its potential for engine longevity problems, or something else?

#51, Mainly its potential for engine longevity problems. I've also heard about problems with the tops of them bunching up and electrical gremlins.

#52, A lot of NEW Hondas have electrical problems. And the S2000s redline is at like 8 or 9000, so engine longevity is something I wouldnt expect from that.

#18, Correction, they're sent to Russia. The problem however isn't reliability, it's that the car companies manipulate the laws to make it harder to hang on to an old car than to sell it and get a new one (The older a car is, the more expensive it is to renew the tags).

#55, How can the 740 be very good and the 940 terrible? It's basically the same car, only the 940 has a far more advanced rear suspension.
