Paint it black and put on some slicks, then you have a sleeper |

I saw this on Car & Driver (television). They had a special on J-Body drag cars and they are awesome. They had them against Stangs, Camaros, you name it, and they won or made it a tight finish. |

I saw that C&D too. This looks like the 400hp Sunfire. The Cavalier was the 750hp 4-popper. Thanks to John Moss if I remember right... |

Yeah, Lutz decided Moss should build something for GM to use in battle against the "Rice" market. So Moss cranks out a couple Hi-Po 4 bangers. Sunfire was a turbo car, Cavalier was blown. Don't remember if NO2 was involved in either one. With the slicks on the front of the Cavalier, it was no sleeper.
I'm not sure if this is the same Sunfire or not, but it looks like it is.

Yes... BUT the 'Stangs and F-bodies they beat on C&D had no doubt about half the money in them. |

Lutz is going to be good for GM, and VERY good for performance enthusiasts. |

You got it Max. Stock Stangs and F-bodies defeated by One-off custom tuners. How amazing.... |

The only improvement I've seen Lutz make is bringing in the Holden as the Goat. The rest of GM still sucks donkey balls right now. However, if Lutz can live up to the hype, the competition between him and Bill Ford should be good for performance guys. |

If you gave me enough money, I could make the Statue of Liberty outrun a stock Mustang or F-body. It still wouldn't prove a damn thing, except that speed costs money. |

I like the performance driven prototypes Lutz is pushing. Like the pontiac Solstice for instance. |
