I hosted this pic on Ricecop photo, because I don't think cardomain allows direct linking. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
In any case, here are some great quotes from this tool's page"
A picture of his head unit, followed by: "My Pioneer DEH-P9300 and matching DSP Processor..wow, i been thru the DEH-P7300 and the DEH-P630 I LOVE PIONEER QUALITY. There is no better, I swear..Alpine makes a more powerful unit but i love my pioneers for fine-tuning to that perfect quality."
Like he's some kind of radio conniseur....can anyone seriously tell the difference between a Pioneer and Alpine by listening to it?
Under a picture of a teddy bear sitting in his back window: "My BurrBear, custom made built in the buildabear shop but professionally talored to have a reversable bucket hat and cargo pants with real burrberry fabric. Also got a doo-rag tims and real gold chain to match. PIMPED."

Under a picture of his wheels: "Neeper Concept Shadows..thse are rare gleamy lil tangs...not many produced in their model with an 8.5" width...hard 2 find n expensive as shit..they so purtie"
They look like $20 Wal*Mart wheelcovers to me....even in the "up close" shot.
Under a picture of his guages: "My gauge cluster. this has been redone several times with different gauges and added the billet dash trim w/chrome rings and new odometer. Also reconstructed my turn signals and gears D4-D1 to be in blue and hyper white. Also re-soldered LEDs in my AC board to blue and white..looks nice n high tech..I also plan on putting an aluminum dash trim to go with the mathing cluster."
Image riceboy sitting there for hours on end, contemplating on how to make his guages look high tech. |

Finally, on page 6, he has "A Message to the Haters", which features three pictures of this tool making out with three skanky chicks. The caption: "Swalla Crak...to all them haters out there, leavin me nasty feedback or just frontin like their someone important to me, jealous ones still envy. Get it right bitch, this is my own style, and i can't help it if your sister is down with it...don't hate. if jon crack knows shes all that, consider ur girl taken :P"
There's some more shit too (including pictures of his OTHER cars - !), so check out the page if you feel like reading something mildly amusing: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/403144/1 |

#1, Sometimes, when listening to various head units hooked up to the same set of speakers in a room (like at an audio store), I can hear differences in quality; some units actually seem to produce a harsher or muddier sound than others. Pioneer does make (or at least, used to make) very good speakers--I had a set of 2-way coaxial 6x8s that I used in my last two cars, and those things rocked. I can't imagine using a Pioneer head unit, though--I could never figure out how to even set the clock on my friend's Pioneer, and my father's first 'Vette had a similarly complicated unit (complete with crazy animating LEDs and stuff). I liked the Kenwood I had in the Thunderbird so much better from an ease-of-use standpoint.
edit: However, I think it's silly to spend a lot of money on a car stereo setup--there's just too much road noise, and a car interior is really NOT the ideal environment for sound.

I use a Pioneer head unit, and yes, it's VERY hard to operate. I managed to pre-set my radio stations once, but since I have to disconnect the negative battery terminal every time I change my oil they got wiped out once and I haven't since figured out how to set them. :( |

#6, I've only actually tried to use a couple of their head units, but they always seemed to have been designed by criminally insane people. The sound quality is good, yes, but I just can't decipher what combination of buttons I need to press for various features. The entry level Kenwood head unit I had was a joy to use, in comparison; even though some functions were hard to use the first time, they rapidly became intuitive. |

funny, i find my pioneer very easy to use. the only thing that gives me trouble is remembering to set the clock the thing has to be turned off. |

#8, Might be a different generation. The ones I've used always seemed to be a horrible hassle. |

I couldn't even figure out how to turn mine off when I got it, I finally figured out (after driving 20 miles back to the house and sitting in my driveway for 10 minutes with the radio on) that you have to hold down the "ON/OFF" button for about 3 seconds before the radio will switch off. |

my sony (>_<) is quite easy to use as well, I haven't bothered with presets since there are really no good stations and the clock I don't use since I have a clock built into the dash |

My radio doesn't have a clock. Well, it probably does, but I think you have to push a button to bring it up. I also have an analog clock built into my dash, but it doesn't work. >_< So I just have to check my watch to tell the time when I'm in the car. |

#16, Okay, enough console fanboy ranting. My PS2 is fine by me, apart from the fact that it won't play blue-bottomed discs. Then again, all PS2 games are DVD based now, anyway. |
