I liked my N64. I liked the controller (regardless of what some folks said about it), I liked how good it was for casual gaming (no loading, no jewel cases to worry about), and I liked the durability of the materials used in the system. But for some reason Nintendo has had a real problem over the past few years coming up with any sort of game that has a decent or interesting story. |

#56, xbox live
and the console war _IS_ stupid, if someone really wants good games they need atleast 2 systems (idealy the xbox and gc).
sony once had much to offer, not so much anymore
the xbox started rather slow but has gained momentum, in the states anyway if it fails abroad the decreased support will probably kill it unless microsoft throws enough money at it
the gc also rode it's wave of hipe and loyalty for awhile but the overall lack of games hurts it, however at it's new price and the availibility of some great games that are actualy exclusive do good things
the ngauge sold ~5,000 systems in it's first week, nokia supposedly shiped 400,000. I included it as an example of questinable design chocies |

#61, I thought the N64 controller was a pretty good design, especially for its time. I liked it. I also liked the fact that the system (since it used cartridges) didn't suffer from a loading delay.
I think one of the major barriers to storytelling on that platform was the fact that the capacity of the cartridges prevented developers from adding much in the way of multiplayer flash (which unfortunately seems to have become the preferred means for plot development) to their games. However, I thought Zelda64 and Majora's Mask proved that you could still weave a good tale if you were willing to make your audience page through a couple screens of text. |

#62, I'm not really talking about good natured ribbing, I mean major jerk-offs.
One time I was playing Counter-Strike and shot somebody, and one of the guys on my team started cursing me and begging to have me booted because he had been knife-fighting with the guy I shot. When I asked him why he didn't tell the rest of the room when they were knife-fighting so no one would shoot at them, he said "It's common sense". That you would be knife-fighting in a game with guns in it? Really?
The host finally told him to shut up, but its still a good example of the dumbasses you run into.

#62, I hate people like that. This ghettotastic "thug" said "nice boots, What are those, bimberlands?"I said "I don't care how much my shoes cost, besides your mom likes them." He got so offended and was "yo, step outside". I started to laugh and said "nigga please" The dude started it and he gets all offended like I said something to him first. |

#64, Yeah, there were a few exceptions. Zelda was one of them. |

#65, I like idiots that use Quake III servers (and the like) as chatrooms, then get pissed when somebody joins the server (unaware that the game has degenerated to mIRC with polygons) and actually shoots somebody. |

#70, That's similar to what happens with Midtown Madness 2. You join a room and one of two things will happen: You'll either join a room where they've decided that they just want a chat room and aren't going to launch the game, or you'll be trying to agree on a game and which mods to use when somebody will join the room and keep spamming "LAUNCH LAUNCH LAUNCH" over and over. |

#73, I was under the impression that some of the EA Sport's titles were playable through XBOX Live?
*Doesn't own an XBOX so doesn't really keep track* |

#73, MMORPGs always come with fees and I've heard rumors that galaxies for example may be coming to the xbox, and while not charging for online play some of the content has become pay based |
