I had a bit of a head start on this one. Although thirtyseven only actually posted the original picture today, I had him send a copy of it to me through e-mail back when he requested that I do this.

#6, Slowly. Current method involves importing the image into Adobe Illustrator, tracing all the lines, and exporting it (both with and without antialiasing) to a Photoshop file. I then open the file that doesn't have antialiasing in Paint Shop Pro, create a new layer and do some coloring in there (using the magic wand tool to select regions and then filling those regions with colors from the original image). When I'm finished, I remove the line layer, replace it with the antialiased lines (which are smoother), do a mild Gaussian blur on them (to smooth them a little more), and touch up any artifacts I might find.
TEDIOUS.

#7, You can also use a similar technique and just do all your lines in Photoshop. I migrated to Illustrator simply so I could scale the artwork up to any size I wanted before exporting it and coloring it.

or you can do it in paint if you're hardcore ,and never save, and don't care how it looks :P
