I like it...but they're dropping the Grand Am name? Anywho, I must admit, I have to thank Bob Lutz for steering Pontiac in the absolute right direction. The GTO, the Solstice, the new Grand Prix, the Northstar powered Bonny, the redesigned Sunfire (which no one but me likes), and the Vibe is somewhat ok.

All they have to do is cut off the dead weight *cough*Aztek and Montana *cough* and everything will be cool with Pontiac.

Now if only Bob Lutz had some pull in Chevy, maybe all their new cars wouldn't look like ass.

It's not bad, but I don't find it particularly exciting, either.

looks like a Grand Am to me, don't know why they just didn't call it that

#4, Agreed. Better than any Grand Am before it, but still. Oh well, people in the market for a Grand Am aren't extremely concerned with having the best looking car ever.

#5, Pontiac is trying to move upscale so I guess that's why they're getting names like that.

Looks like Pontiac's styling department hiired some adults.

I like Pontiac's direction into an an enthusiast's car. Brings to mind their image as GMs "performance brand" in the '50s and '60s. They're showing a lot of promise.

#12, Yeah, check this.

All-new family of performance oriented powertrains, including a 170-horsepower HO 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder, 200-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 and 240-horsepower HO 3.9-liter V-6.

Not bad.

*Hits Pontiac's all-new family of performance engines with a hockey stick. Shrugs*

You told me to check it.

Seriously, if you're making 170 hp out of an economy engine, you aren't doing half bad.

#15, Like the Jeep straight 6? 4.0 and 160 HP, and they actually call it an "H.O.", and not just on the motor, but on the fucking tailgate too!

#16, 190hp, actually

and i got to ride in a G6 this weekend, and with 16k miles on it, it was rattly and the engine sounded rough...plus the interior looks cheap

#17, That's the biggest and only hangup I have with American cars. The interior always looks very cheap in comparison to foreign cars. I'm talking very cheap gray plastic with the mold flange still present.

#18, I know how that goes. Speaking of foreign vehicles though, did you happen to see Automobile's rating of the Nissan Titan? The "aluminum trim" flaked off the steering wheel, and the cargo door behind the wheelwell got rusty in 4 mo.

#18, the newer American car interior has improved - I rode in a rental Impala yesterday - reminded me of a camry...
