I can't make up my mind if I'd want to sacrifice being mistaken for a police officer to have one really damn awesome red Police Interceptor... |

Well none actually. As a university student I might somehow end up in the US. A slim chance but hey-you never know. Anyway I was browsing sites of different US manufaturers and I noticed that EVERY middle size American car has an auto (and is FWD sadly). For a guy from eastern Europe automatic transmission is a mystery. There are many legends about it but few people actually have any experience. If they do it's usually a 60HP Mercedes 200 diesel or an old Volvo with malfunctioning tranny, or a city bus. So I'm simply curious (as hell). There is an overwhelming tendency to design cars for idiots (let the computer drive, you're such a brainless fellow, you'll get yourself hurt) and I hate it. This is a car. I want to drive. Perhaps I see auto tranny as a sort of "dumbdowner"? Just like ABS, ESP and other crap which only makes people drive worse. |

#3, these are still body on frame, and also, i believe these are there not to lessen impact force, but to more be used to push and ram chased cars without sacrificing the bodywork as badly |
