Kidding, I change the Oil in the T-Bird like every month. (I do my own changes) There is something odd about this one. I'd guess he had it up on a dyno when this was taken.

Looks like a wire was run from an external source, I'm guessing power, into the dash.
12V being fed to the gauges directly?

no, i wasnt feeding power to anything. the car was shuf off and sitting still in this one. however, i had made the custom gauges i was talking about forever ago and tried puting them on, and i didnt like them. so i took out the cluster and took them off and didnt put the plastic cover back over the gauges. then i just pushed the needle speed needle to the far side and then put the rpm needle on the top and let it fall, i took the pic as the needle was falling. also, the wire you see is the wire to the overhead light that lights up the needles. i dont think my accord could ever go that fast btw.

yeah if he did direct power the gauges, the needle would top out to the stopper

I really don't get it... my Mirage has a 120mph speedo... kinda optimistic, aren't we, Mitsubishi? :P

I can tell from experience that my car can only go 95mph MAX. Foot to the floor.
