#7, Oh hell yes the Avanti was an awesome car back in the day. I used to watch episodes of "Car & Track" (old car show from the late '60s and early '70s, had a lotta good old NASCAR footage) all the time on Speedvision. They roadtested all kinds of cars...I remember a few reviews where they HATED a particular car, such as the "brand new" '70 Gremlin, and a post-emissions-control-crap '74 Buick, that they said barely had enough power to get the 3-ton boat moving. But I remember TWO reviews in particular where they were GLOWING in admiration for the car...one was the Excalibur retro-Mercedes SSK knockoff... and the other being a supercharged Avanti...man, they LOVED that car...IIRC, they actually said, "This is by far the best car we have ever tested."

#8, I used to love Car & Track. I remember well the tests of the '69 Dart Swinger and the '70 Galaxy XL. They also had that awesome hand-held stock car footage, that followed the entire field, rather than just fixed cameras focusing on the top three lead cars. Modern NASCAR races are so boring in comparison.
