I've read a funny explanation of understeer and oversteer (form SCCA site? I forget). Pardon me my American friends, but I pissed my pants (it IS a good explanation though):
Understeer: you see what you're about to hit through the front window
Oversteer: you see what you're about to hit through one of the side windows.
LOL
Also:
Understeer: the front of the car is fucked up
Oversteer: the back of the car is fucked up (oversteer? more like a spin)
LOL again
