The only reason to be making only 500hp with a blower, is that the blower belt is off.

#4, In a Corvette yes. Maybe in an Impala or something heavier and less aerodynamic

I think you guys are a bit jaded. 500 hp is stout for any small block (maybe he just wanted low compression), a 0-60 in 4.5 is quick for any car.
