Hmmm...don't think I ever posted my bike here...

Anywho... Peugeot speedbike from the '70s...

Yes, I know it's a women's bike, but when I see a damn Peugeot bicycle in mint condition for under $40, I don't care what gender it's meant for. Has a really nice Fuji seat too. Has a flat tire though, I need to take care of that one of these days.

It actually has multiple speeds, but the multiple gears aren't exposed... I'm not quite sure how it works, but the entire gear change mechanism is encased inside the rear axle. No exposed derailer to get stuff caught in, so that's good.

#6, Yes, Peugeot has quite a history of making bicycles built for racing, and their bikes are known for being very light... I can lift this bike with three fingers.

Sometime in 2003, I was riding down a street, and a van pulled out in front of me (well, not directly in front...it's not like he cut me off) and I decided to try to pass him, and went as fast as I could (I'm kinda outta shape) ...I actually got next to him and kept pace... when we got to a stop sign, he rolled down his window and said, "You were going 25mph!"

...I don't know how I went that fast, didn't think I could...and that made me think that maybe I should wear a helmet...

my friend has a superlight racing bike..weighs like 15 lbs or less (not sure). he has a digital speedo, i got it up to 30, passing cars (speed limit is 25). when he wears his ghay racing suit, he can hit 40 (also he's in better shape than me)

#10, I hit 20+ going down a hill on a Razor scooter once. That was scary. Those little things get wobbly at speed.
