#3, http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=772

supposedly it's very accurate at 50 yards, with 3000psi providing about 10 shots...and you can buy a bunch of things such as laser sights and flashlights for it

We have an old saying round here.....

Airsoft guns are like tampons,
They keep pussies from becoming a bloody mess.

:P

for the $850.00 price tag you could buy a damn nice pistol, shotgun, or rifle and not have to pump the damn thing every 10? shots or so.

I think Airsoft is a brand name. But it refers to anything that is air powered, it goes for most anything pump up/co2/spring powered etc.

Excluding paint ball guns since their purpose is to shoot people for fun.

see http://airsoft.com

#10, Airsoft is not a brand, but an event. Much like Paintball isn't a brand, but and event.
Larger Airsoft gatherings usually have Paintball as well.
Airsoft is pretty much the middle ground between real weapons and paintball. Makes for some fun war games.

#11, My buddies and I have airsoft wars, most of us have some form of gas powerd pistols. Mine is made to size and weight spec of a Berreta 92FS. It shoots at about 387fps, and I put a lazer sight on it which dead on accurate to about 13 yards. Problem is the only way to tell that it's fake is if you're looking down the barrel at close range.

#14, BB is only compressed air/co2/pump. no explosive charges. IIRC

#15, That reminds me of something cool. The Canadian army trains with paint bullets. Cartridge with a paint filled tip. They hurt like a muther. Its funny when my friend tells me stories of unloading like 8 9mm painties at close range to center mass. The training is after like 5 days of no sleep and leathal amounts of caffine.
