Description:
Here it is, at long last: Mad Max's 1970 Ford Mustang. Yeah, that's me lookin' silly in the picture. But it's the best one I've got. |

Yeah, that's the one I'm thinking of. It's not that high on my list of priorities... I've got to get the time, money and motivation to get a roll cage so I can take it to the strip first, and I want to get some slicks for that purpose too. Those take higher priority than a mostly non-functional visual mod. But if I stumble across a good deal on Ebay or something, I might just go for it. |

I run BF Goodrich Comp TA drag radials. These tires were the answer to my traction problem and they are DOT approved! |

Cool, cool... I'm going to be in the market for new street tires in the next year or so, too... I may just pick up a set of those and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. You run those on all 4, or just the back? If just the back, what do you have up front? |

I use the drag radials on the rear only. They use a very soft rubber compound. They don't last long but they still last longer than conventional tires. With P27560R15 in a conventional tire I don't hook up unitl 85 mph with a full power launch. Using the drag radials all I have to do is heat them just a little with the line lock and I get no wheelspin whatsoever. Even if I don't heat them I only get a little chirp from them with a full power launch.
Basically the drag radials are a street legal drag slick with tread and a sidewall.
It have a set of these and a set of conventional tires on identiacal rims. I only use the conventional tires on trips out of town. (saves wear)
My front tires are just conventional P25560r15 Firestones. |

Might be worth looking into... but I'm still thinking just run street tires on the street, and get a pair of fat steelies with slicks for the strip. |

I've done that too. It works. If your interested, Jegs has a decent price on the drag radials. |

Hey, Max is number 1! Well, does this mean that now we have to get everyone else who has thier car posted into spots 2-9? If so, it might be tough gettin' DiRF's Cavy in there..... :-) |

for my two cents, I think the spoiler would look good, you already have the front splitter to go with it, and you don't see too many Mach 1s in coupe form. |
