#5, Its lowtek, y0. Needs overhead cams to be modern. Screw the whole displacement on demand thing..thats low tech, even if it is brand new. :P |

I'll be genuinely impressed when I see drastically more power coming from a stock new Hemi smallblock than a certain well-known wedge-head Chevrolet. Seriously, it's gotta be a nice engine, but the marketing insanity is maddening. |

#11, THAT'S WHAT I MEAN
so much hype, yet about the same power as a 350
well, the 6.1-liter version is pretty impressive

Speaking of which, there was a red Hemi Charger about 3 houses from me. It had 22 inch chrome rims. It didn't look that bad, but the bling didn't appeal that much.

i don't think the aftermarket rims have caught up with the charger's/300c's/magnum's size yet...all these morons are putting huge chrome rims on them, only to end up with them looking normal...the whole ghetto is in uproar! |

#12, Deal with it.
Somehow saying "That thing gotta RB26DETT?" has nowhere near the same marketing impact as "Hemi" does.
With that said - play your cards right and advertise like a pro. DCX can't help it the name sells itself.

#15, Oh, but it has a helluva fanboy network.
Problem is people who like Hemis tend to be older and have more money to buy them than people who like RB26DETTs, don't they?
"Up next, numbers matching 1971 Hemi Cuda convertible. Let's start the bidding at $125,000, do I hear 150... (gibberish) ....Two million! Going once, going twice, SOLD to the gentleman in the Hawaiian shirt! Two million dollars."
vs.
"omg ur car SUX!!!1 teh RB26DETT in the skyline r34 GT-R owns ur freakin face, FAST N FURIOUS bitchezzz! with NAWSSS!!!! i smoked a supra in mine today XD no i dont rly have 1 but i will sumday lol, the one i have in GT4 kicks ass lol" |
