I'm picking up the car tomorrow morning. Next, I have to redo the exhaust (need dumps, sadly) and get this welded in. |

Ah, it's going on a Rustang anyway, so it's not like the car will actually turn.* :p
*lies--this is a rear suspension designed for open track use. |

#5, Dumps, probably. Side exit is just too darn restrictive, and it might prevent me from using full-length SFCs in the future. |

Yay, I'm dropping the car off to have this put on next weekend (won't pick the car up until the weekend after that, though :() Freely-articulating, properly located hotness. Whee.
They're also going to be looking into a very small oil leak. I already know what the cause probably is. Why couldn't Ford have designed a valve cover for this car that actually made sense?!

Yeah, so this has been another month-long fiasco.
I dropped the car off about 4 weeks ago, with the understanding that they'd deal with my oil leak and install the suspension at the end of the week. They did, in fact, attempt to begin work on the car, but it turned out that Steeda had forgotten to ship some of the endlinks and some other misc. stuff.
We notified Steeda, and they sent the parts. They meant to send them 2-day air, but screwed up and sent it ground. The shop didn't get around to working on my car again until toward the end of last week, at which point they resealed my valve covers and installed the suspension. However, the car still had an oil leak and they needed to keep it into this week because it seemed like the pan seal was bad.
Then they also figured out (at the beginning of this week) that I needed new bearings and axle shafts (they inspected the rearend after they noticed it was making noise). Then the guy working on the car was sick for two days. :( |

#11, However, when I contacted them this afternoon, he was back in and was waiting for some silicone to dry on the oilpan. Hopefully they'll be able to finish it and give it back to me tomorrow; we'll see. :-/
edit: And they're also installing Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates, which should come in handy for a coilover conversion on the front end in the future.

#13, Of course. It was 40* this morning, though, and as a former Floridian, I can't say I much cared for that. |

#14, *brrrrrrr. That would probably piss me off, too. Remember, I live in MN during most breaks so you can only imagine. Today it was roughly 35* in Lawrence. I need more pants in KS. :-( |

It's back again! Yay me! :p It's pretty wet out and there was lots of traffic, so I haven't gotten to see much of what it can do, but it feels pretty darn good. Between the new rear suspension setup, the C/C plates, and a good alignment...oh yes. |
