Ah yes, the best of the 2nd-generation F-bodies in my opinion. BEAUTIFUL stripe scheme.

The early 2nd Gen Camaros seem to be the Forgotten F-Bodies on this site, and yet, they were some of the best

by far. I think the 3rd gen get more fame simply by sucking more heh :) And 4th and 5th gens seem all too rare around here, though I'm not sure why. This is a beautiful car.

#3, I take umbrage to that 3rd gen sucking claim. Maybe they weren't that fast, but they weren't bad either. But I guess I can't take that comment seriously, since you also refer to 5th generation Camaros (?!?!?!?).

#2, I agree. It's hard for me to pick a generation though. I like all 4. I like late 2nd gen F-Bodies the least, except for the Smokey & the Bandit style T/As.

#6, can't be - it would be a waste of money for the general to spend all that money on new body work just to throw it away at the end of the model year. Had the Camaro/Firebird gone beyond the 2002 model year - then we'd most definatly have a 5th gen F by now.

there was only 4 - but rumors say look out for 2005/2007.
