#21, I meant blandness when it came to performance, I honestly can't say it's ugly, but who looks at this thing and thinks race car other than the most desperate of ricers? |

#25, I could see one with a turbo'd B16A or B18C5 as a race car, or one with extensive engine mods. |

#26, Yeah, but most of the Hondas I see on the strip are the stock DX engines with some colorful spark plug wires and maybe an intercooler, but to their credit they did make good rpms. |

#25, I think there's nothing about them that specifically makes them look sporty, except the 06s. When I see them, I just think they look like any run of the mill car. |

#28, That's exactly my point, the DX and the EX and the other non turbo'ed models weren't meant to look sporty at all, they were meant to be commuting vehicles, they were low on power and torque but high on rpms and made great gas mileage. They were almost the perfect family cars, unless your family members weighed more than 200 pounds each of course.
#29, of course, it MUST die! *gets blowtorch*

#30, Its funny cuz in like '94 (which in my area, is the year that I most commonly see riced) there probably wasn't many people driving around in their Civics thinking they are fucking racecars. But now, anyone with these pieces of shit think they can't be beaten. |

#31, It's weird how the culture started, I though Fast and Furious was the beginning of it all but then I discovered anti ricer sites from late 1996, nearly five years before the movie came out! Crazy... |

#32, it started in 1991 with Cali's first Hot Import Daze in San Mateo. The Super Street came out in 1995 or so. |

#33, Hmm... so it's been around longer than I though. Either way, I can honestly say I ALWAYS found it stupid and never had any desire to drive a ricemobile. Pretty weird, cuz I was a pretty impressionable 13 year old when FnF came out. |

#34, but back in 1991 there weren't huge melty bodykits and (mis)matching wings. There was only shitty side skirts and Testarossa kits and 15" star wheels. |

#35, Well anymore the fad is getting your car to look like another car as much as possible with Lambo doors, Z3 fenders, altezza taillights, and M3 mirrors. |

#36, They also have "Camaro induction hoods", "Mustang style hood scoops" and Dodge is offering a Neon Tuner which is the SRT/4 in looks only. |

#37, Oh I forgot to add FAKE Evo and STi hoodscoops. Not the full hood, just pieces of plastic you BOLT ONTO your OEM hood to make them look like other cars. Almost as pointless as carbon fiber decals. |

#38, indeed. What, they make carbon fiber DECALS? You've got to be kidding. That's absurd. |
