Of course, FWD unibody trucks aren't trucks anyway, they're station wagons.

Mine's seen some minor off-road use, and a bit of mudding (read: doing donuts in the shallow part) but nothing major. Too much rear overhang for anything fun.

2WD isnt completely useless, ive had my truck in some spots that a 4x4 Blazer couldnt get to and i dont even have a limited slip diff.

The thing that helps me when off-roading is a complete lack of regard for personal safety and the proper shape of the suspension. I've jumped it off many a dune.

Then I stand corrected. FWD unibody trucks are mostly station wagons.

because at this point, my situation would probably be IMPROVED if I broke a lower control arm and had to buy a new car...

You guys must be talking about the type of "4x4'ing" that you just go and thrash your truck untill it doesnt go anymore, thats not real 4x4'ing thats just plain stupidity there, go rock crawling were you actually have to do something more than press the gas down :-p

of course, if I got rid of a car because of something so minor as a broken control arm, I'd be lame.

#31, my type of 4x4ing generally involves sand and or mud, reasonably non-steep hills, and plenty of run up room. Can't really do anything else.

That's a good picture. Also, a damn good truck. Now, I wish I had a 4x4. Someday.
