#1, Looks more like a '56 Packard to me.

Weren't these cars produced up until the early '80s?

#6, Yeehaw! It showed up! And it is GORGEOUS! I can't believe no one tried freaking outbidding me! 10 freaking bucks! (...and relatively low shipping cost since at the same time I bought a 1/43 Junior Johnson '59 Impala from him also... he only charged me $10 for shipping total, from freaking PORTUGAL!)

The only other 1/43 Chaikas I've seen on eBay run around $30-50...

Oh, and the Chaika "wedding car" usually goes for much less http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...item=6995167997
But I really don't like the way it's done up at ALL...looks really gaudy.

[edit] Ne'ermind... it appears the seller has another one. I'm gonna do the unthinkable and hesitate again :P If the second one gets sold before I can act, and the seller doesn't have anymore, it was never meant to be.

So it's true they don't cut the grass in ex-Soviet country parks.

I dig these. It would be fun to show up at an American car show in a Chaika with all the badges removed and throw everyone for a loop.

#12, I'm sure, though, you'd get the ONE show-goer who knows exactly what it is and flips out with glee.

#13, That's like the guy who brought a '72 Holden Ute to a local car show and several people crowded around it trying to figure out what year of El Camino it was and why it was RHD.
