I think the new chargers would make great cop cars, the 3.5L HO V6 is just as powerful as the Crown Victoria's 4.6 and it's RWD and has ESP (electronic stability program)

#2, The R/T makes decent torque, about 390 at 4K rpms, perhaps it would be a better choice that it's V6 counterpart

#4, $$$ the hemi is a very expensive option, not good for fleet vehicles.

#5, Tis true, the R/T option would run an extra $7000 a piece. But in it's defense the V6 is about 200 pounds lighter than the Crown Vic, and although it lacks about 25 ft-lbs of torque it does make a slightly better powerband and gets better gas mileage.

well wheredo you think the confiscated money goes to? it goes into the police force which is a good thing. keeps taxpayer costs lower, keeps them better equipped and gives them a reason to go after the big fish

Moscone Center! This was taken at the 2005 San Francisco International Auto Show. I recognize the carpet and the date is consistent with when the show is held (Nov 19-27).

This year it will be held Nov 20-28.

It would make sense that this is a Hemi Charger R/T, since the SF Auto Show CHP booth cars are almost always fake cop cars made using a stock black civilian car offered up by a local dealer to receive a white door vinyl, CHP decals and whatever police gear can be installed with suction cups or straps. They do this every year.

They used a Mini Cooper one year, which I believe I posted once but it seems to be gone.
