I saw some import drag racing briefly on TV over the weekend. It was boring to watch since the cars didn't launch very hard, or one of them broke frequently. The only amusing part was some of the recation times, some of them were cutting like a 1.1 second light on a .500 tree yikes.

Our import racing is good. Rotors skylines 180s 200s supras etc. Not too many civics.

My truck runs low 14's and I have killed more of these than I care to remember. I won't even bother with them anymore.

God, what I hate the most is what happened to me tonight. Pulled up on a ricer 'Teg at a stoplight in my T-bird. Real good ricer, too; I wish I had a picture. Anyway, the guy's being an ass, so I figure I'll give him a view of my rear bumper and let him guess what the SC stands for. So I launch, stomp a mudhole in his ass, get about 5 or 6 lengths out on him in the first couple hundred yards, figure I've made my point, and shut it down. A quarter mile later, Skeezix goes SCREAMING by me doing like 80. ON A BUSY CITY STREET!!! SPEED LIMIT 40!!! Probably already on the phone to his friends talking about how he kicked my ass. 'Course, by the time his friends hear about it, my car will have sprouted drag slicks and a blown big-block....

That's happened to me too. Another difference between "us" and "them". We have respect for our cars, ourselves, and general public saftey. I really could care less if a ricer wants to remove him/herself from the gene pool, just don't take anyone else along for the ride.
It's the ONLY time they can beat us. When we have a foot on the brake. Morons!

man that happen to me when i raced this toyota truck i killedhim then when i seen i was doing 90 i hit the brakes, which seeing how he was behind me he had to see that, so he flys by me and hits his hazards....what a dipshit

I meet this guy at the dragstrip that had a Civic H/B with a turbocharged B18 motor. He was running 12's and was really cool, remember that not all Civic drivers are ricers.

I like blowen em away in me mums lil 2 litre Dodge Stratus.
When you put 5 speed to that lil engine it can kick ricer booty...
Now to get the V-6 put in....

I'm going for the CRX in this race. It looks more stripped down.
Honestly, if you want to go four-banger, I think a Neon would be a better choice. They had a 10 second sleeper Neon once in Hot Rod....it looked stock apart from the wheels.
