I have to disagree with the fact trucks handle well.
And I don't like the fact that beast is going to be produced because I live in a place
full of idiots who own trucks much larger than that one and I can't imagine what these
same idiots would do with that kind of speed!

most trucks cant handle worth a shit, but some of these hot rod trucks come from the factory lowered with big beefy sway bars, not to mention fat tires. |

I have to concede, factory trucks can handle decently, if they are made to do so, or modified to do so. That said, people will try to push the limits more with these types of trucks, and will of course, find those limits to be a fine line, one side of the line you're fine. The other side, well... you get the point. I have seen in all the vehicles I have driven that a sports car, will outhandle a sport truck, even if the difference is only marginal, I guess I will have to go find a place i can drive one of these and see how well it does, when it ever comes to NC of course. I do think it is cool to see a 4500-5000 lb. brick running down the 1/4 in less than 12 seconds from the factory though. :)

y'all do know that the "viper v-10" was originally an all iron v10 in dodge 2500 pickups right? that's why it only has 2 valves per cylinder and whatnot. all dodge did was put better balanced parts in there, more agressive cams, and made it of aluminum. (with some help from lamborghini) so really that v10 is just kinda returning to its roots. |

I like it, except for two things. One, those wheels SUCK. WAY too big for this truck. They make it look squat and dumpy. Two, yes, trucks can handle IF you know how to drive them. I've driven quite a few, and they handle decently, as long as they've got a good suspension set-up, which would be a given on this, and as long as you know how to drive them. But the vast majority of people who would buy this would be, with apologies to Nic Cage, self-indulgent weiners. Self-indulgent weiners who have no need for this sort of power, who have no idea how to handle it, and who will try to talk on a damn cell phone while watching DVDs while attempting to drive this. The idea of a soccer mom at the controls of this on MY road gives me nightmares. And yes, that's right, MY road. |

You know, this thing SHOULD be called rice simply because it negates the whole purpose for having a truck. If I have to tell you what that is, then disregard this whole posting. How in the hell are you going to keep all that power on the ground? I would much rather have a Viper. If you are going to have the Viper engine, and the Viper transmission, and probably the Viper Rear axle, then I would rather have a Viper. This truck would MAYBE be able to handle that power with a Dana 60 in the back, and those axles might be heavy enough to keep from hopping out of control. Sure as hell hope it doesn't come with a Dana 44. I don't know. I just don't like Dodge anymore (anyone seen the Neon S-R/T 4, that car sucks). |

hell, i'd drive one for the same reason I'd drive a Lighting or Syclone: it's a truck, with most of the benefits of that, but it has power, which I like. Wheelhop is always a problem with trucks, but I imagine this could haul ass and a half with the proper driver... |

You're going to find a self-indulgent weiner behind the wheel of any factory hotrod. Camaros, mustangs, those big fast benzes. The only fast car you won't see a self-indulgent weiner in is a car that the guy built from the ground up by himself without farming it out to someone else or just buying a completed car. Learn how to scrape your knuckles, swear at carparts and spend hours fixing up a vehicle that everyone else declares a waste and you won't be a self-indulgent weiner. You'll be a car guy. |

Amen. But my point is that self-indulgent weiners behind the wheel of a Mustang or Camaro or Mercedes-Benz or a BMW M3 Lightweight (wink) don't frighten me as much as no-skills-having weiners behind the wheel of this thing. |

Hey, I'm strongly considering buying a Mustang GT. Would that make me a self-indulgent weiner? |

How about no skill weiners behind the wheel of an Expedition? now that's scary. |
