Typical launch for a supra that's not drag-prepped. Turbo lag combined with irs will make for less than perfect holeshots. However, in most races the toyotas make up the ground very quickly once the boost actually hits. I've seen a race on streetfire.net where a supra races a modded '04 cobra from a roll, and while the mustang gets the jump due to immediate torque, the supra rockets past him a second later and put 10+ cars on him within seconds. I would really like to see the whole race in this case, though.
Here it is! http://videos.streetfire.net/search...4496FB9C490.htm
Most people say that supras are far from good dragstrip cars, and I agree in most cases. However, well-built ones are deadly.
Here is one running mid 6's on a 6-speed! It challenged the world's quickest 6-speed car, which is a viper and that runs only a tenth better.

It's funny that both the vids you linked have comments made by a banned user that used to post here. (who seems to love us a lot)

#1, So... why don't they launch from such rev range as to get the turbo already "pumping"...??? |

#6, Yeah, it's cool to have a car that's that fast but in a way that's why drag racing sucks. It's not about skill, it's just about who can spend the most money on their engines |

#7, Word. The fact that there's no bracket racing in Poland makes drags ultra-sucky. |

1: Who?
2: Where is the humor?
3: Were you really able to look through 25 pages of idiocy for the two vids? I usually can't stand to read even one.

Because then it would have massive wheelspin. Give it too little gas and it lags. Give it too much, and good luck controlling all the power at once with an irs.
