Germany, Italy, England and America. needs more national colors. silver, red, BRG, and navy blue

this is a sweet collection of cars. its a shame japan doesnt compete in this market now.

I always thought America's national color/scheme was white w/blue stripes or blue w/white stripes?

#2, well anglo-american racing with dan guerney (sp?) as the driver raced in F1 using navy blue cars. but shelby did use the paint schemes you mentioned in sports car racing...what did he drive agian? :P

navy blue, stripes are optional. how does that work?

#3, Oh yes, only Fords ran with the striped blue/white paintscheme...

I guess America has never really had an "official" racing color/scheme like other countries... I mean, for a while, American race cars in the '40s and '50s were yellow.

...and I have no idea what part of your ass you pulled that "Anglo-American Racing" bullshit out of, to justify "navy blue" as America's racing color, considering that wasn't entirely an American team, and WAS only ONE team out of many.

you took that way too seriously dude. wiki- "Gurney's first love was road racing, especially in Europe, and he wanted to win the Formula One World Championship while driving an American Grand Prix Eagle. Partnered with British engine maker Weslake, the Formula One effort was called "Anglo-American Racers." gpracers.net- "Anglo American Racers was formed by Dan Gurney with the help of a fellow American driver - Le Mans winner Carroll Shelby. Their aim was to attack Indianapolis although Gurney still had ambitions in Grand Prix and formed his team on the other side of the Atlantic at Weslake's engine workshop."

the only decent photo of an AAR car does have a white stripe down the middle. so in the end you were right about the stripes, but i dont think we ever had an offical color either.

#12, Ah yes, kittens, adorably delicious. I enjoy the taste of a Tabby myself, but am not adverse to the tangy spice of a siamese
